State Tax Relief for Kansas Families: Laura has methodically and responsibly lowered income, property, and sales taxes for you. The result: about $350 a year of tax relief per person, or $1,400 for a family of four!
Home Prices: Laura helped pass a bill this year that cuts government red tape to make houses more available and affordable. A better supply of homes will help tamp down runaway prices.
Safer Neighborhoods: Repeat offenders are responsible for a majority of crime, so Laura took action with a new law that hands career criminals tougher penalties and improves public safety in our community.
K-12 Schools: Laura has voted for record funding for our public schools, including millions more for special ed. She also helped get cell phones out of classrooms to improve academic results and improve our kids’ mental health.
